Howard Morgan is currently the Chairman of B Capital. He co-founded First Round Capital with Josh Kopelman as the first professional Seed Stage Fund, where he remains Senior Advisor. Prior to First Round, Howard helped found Idealab with Bill Gross, and served as President of Renaissance Technologies, which he co-founded with Jim Simons. Prior to his move into the business of technology, Howard served as a professor at the Wharton School and the Moore School, both at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as at Cornell University. He is also an Executive Fellow at UC Berkeley.
Howard’s research on user interface technology and the optimization of computer networks was critical to bringing the ARPAnet to Philadelphia in the 1970s. Through this early internet participation, he helped corporate and government agencies use technology to improve the efficiency of both large and small organizations. He also has deep experience with very large databases, and served as the first Editor of the ACM Transactions on Database Systems Journal.
Throughout his career, Howard has sought out great people and nurtured them so that they could realize their dreams. His mentees have included both PhD students researching a key topic, and early stage entrepreneurs building companies and taking them from seed stage through initial public offerings. He currently serves as a Director of Idealab, and he is on the board of several non-profits including Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories and Math For America. He has also served on a number of public company Boards, including Franklin Electronic Publishers and Internet Brands, Inc. He was CEO of Kentek and Franklin during various turnover or transitional periods and in 1997 he was named Delaware Valley Entrepreneur of the Year. Howard is a respected author and a frequent speaker at major industry conferences.
Howard received a PhD in Operations Research from Cornell University in 1968, and a BS in Physics from City College of the City University of New York in 1965.
Joe Davis is currently the Vice-Chairman of B Capital. He is also a Senior Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group and currently Chairman of North America, overseeing the firm’s operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Joe began his career in the Boston office and has been with BCG for nearly 30 years. He co-founded and subsequently led BCG’s Washington DC office, established the U.S. Federal Public Sector Practice Area at BCG, led BCG’s Northeast and West Coast Systems subsequently and played a key role in launching BCG Digital Ventures. Joe is a core member of the Public Sector, Consumer, Retail and Organization practice areas. His work has primarily focused on large scale change, transformation, and organizational effectiveness. Notable achievements include the reorganization of the FDIC in light of the massive increase in bank failures during the crisis, reorganization of the merchandising and marketing departments in two major multi-banner retailers, a post-merger integration of a combined $40B+ grocery retailer, and the redesign and transformation of a major multi-channel retailer to ensure effective leveraging of its scale.
Prior to his time at BCG, Joe worked for six years in sales and sales management with Proctor & Gamble.
Joe is an active supporter of his alma mater, Whitman College, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Economics and met his wife, Sarah, and is currently on the Board of Trustees. Joe also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Raj Ganguly is a Co-Founder and Partner at B Capital. He is based in B Capital’s Los Angeles office, and currently serves on the boards of Lanetix, InTurn, and Evidation Health. In addition, Raj is a Senior Advisor to the Boston Consulting Group.
Before his career in venture capital, Raj spent six years at Bain Capital, with a focus on conducting operational due diligence and driving growth and operational improvements in portfolio companies across the United States and Asia. During his time at Bain Capital, he had significant involvement in the diligence and boards of numerous investments, including Skylark, Genpact, and Burlington Coat Factory. He also served as the co-leader of the firm’s global technology initiative.
Raj also spent time at the consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where he was a Senior Engagement Manager in the Technology, Media, and Telecom Practice of the firm. He has experience as an interim executive with British food and beverage giant Diageo, and was part of the early team of Miradiant, one of the first internet payments startups, which was acquired by Bank One Corporation, that later merged with J.P. Morgan Chase.
Raj earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, and summa cum laude honors as a BSE and BAS from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and School of Engineering and Applied Science, where he graduated from the Management & Technology Program as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and Joseph Wharton Scholar.
Eduardo Saverin is a Co-founder and Co-managing General Partner at B Capital Group, based in the firm’s Singapore office.
Mr. Saverin is the first investor in, and co-founder of Facebook, a publicly traded company empowering billions of people of all age groups, geographies, languages, and cultural affinities to share and make the world a more open and connected place. Mr. Saverin is focused on investing in the next wave of technological innovation. As an investor and mentor, he has advised and worked closely with companies of all sizes and stages that share one common thread: a passion for people-centric innovation and industry transformation with pan-global ambitions.
Mr. Saverin earned a B.A (cum laude) at Harvard University.
Allen Duan is the B Capital Group Operating Partner based in New York City. Prior to B Capital, he was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Technology at Hearst. Spanning over 350 businesses, Allen led solutions and innovation across mobile, video, advertising, machine learning, voice/audio, data/analytics and other emerging technology. He co-founded Hearst’s first programmatic advertising team through CoreAudience while managing over 100 strategic partnerships.
Previously, Allen held several roles as Corporate Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Viacom and MTV Networks during the “Jersey Shore” era … as well as Senior Director of Corporate Development and M&A for Sony Corporation of America. He began his career with seven years as a Product Manager at Microsoft including a succession of business development and product planning roles across MSN, Financial Services and Mobile & Embedded Devices divisions.
Allen first started coding as an undergrad at Harvard University where he graduated magna cum laude with a joint Bachelor degree in Engineering Sciences and Economics. Allen subsequently also received an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Beyond his passion for software, he spends his time on areas ranging from his investment in Pied-a-Terre Wines to preparation for the next Spartan Race.
Arijit Sengupta is the B Capital Group Operating Partner based out of Singapore where he leads the effort to support enhanced outcomes for our portfolio companies across Asia in addition to driving other strategic initiatives for the firm.
Arijit was previously Founder at Kradle Ventures, where he incubated new businesses in B2B tech and advised PE and VC backed companies on growth and transformation. Prior to Kradle, he was Founder and CEO of Antuit, a Goldman Sachs company focused on enterprise AI solutions which he incubated out of Kradle. Previously, Arijit was part of the leadership team of WNS (a Warburg Pincus backed, enterprise transformation company) which took the company public (NYSE: WNS) and grew it 3X from IPO.
Arijit started his career in Accenture in the firm’s strategy and reengineering practice and commenced his entrepreneurial journey thereafter with a General Atlantic and Amazon backed business services company, Daksh which was eventually acquired by IBM. Mr. Sengupta worked in IBM’s global business transformation group thereafter as a sector leader and on integration initiatives.
Arijit earned an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.

Daisy was previously at Softbank Investment Advisors. Prior to her time at Softbank, Daisy co-founded Gaocheng Capital, a growth equity firm in China focused on investing in enterprise technologies, and served as partner and investment committee member. Daisy has a Bachelors in Engineering from Tsinghua University, a Masters in Electrical Engineering from The University of Southern California and an MBA from Columbia University.
Gabe is a Partner in the LA office. He focuses on B2B software and brings over a decade of investment experience across enterprise and other software technologies.
Gabe was previously a Partner with Pritzker Group Venture Capital, where he ran the west coast office for the firm and led a number of the firm’s investments across enterprise software, marketplaces, proptech, logistics/supply chain, machine learning and other emerging technologies. He previously led investments in companies such as: Openpath, Cue Health, Scopely, Augury, Pype (Acq: Autodesk), Project 44, Catalytic, Specright, HQO, Livly, VTS, and Catalytic, and sat on many of the company boards.
Kabir Narang is a Partner at B Capital based in Singapore and co-leads B Capital’s Asia team. He leads investments for the firm and is focused on financial technology and enterprise technology, among other areas.
Kabir was previously a Partner at Eight Roads Ventures India, Fidelity’s venture capital investment arm. During his tenure at Eight Roads, he led investments in technology and financial services. Kabir was also a member of the Regional Partnership, which actively evaluated investment opportunities across Asia, including China and Japan.
Prior to Eight Roads, Kabir was with Warburg Pincus, India, where he was involved with investments and portfolio management in Max India, Max Healthcare, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Kabir first began his career in consulting, spanning over six years with McKinsey in India, and the Boston Consulting Group in the US. His work mainly focused on technology and financial services in the areas of strategy and operations.
Karen Appleton Page is an entrepreneur, advisor, investor and board member. A respected business leader, Karen worked at Apple on the enterprise team, leading the commercial channel, strategic partners, the Mobility Partner Program and the industry team. She was one of the earliest employees (#7) and a founding executive at Box, leading GTM activities, defining Box’s approach to partnerships and business development, cultivating C-level relationships, strategic initiatives, and founded Box.org. She is on the board of Deputy, Plastiq and Pickit, and a trustee at the Computer History Museum and Thorn. She is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council at The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. Rashmi Gopinath is a Partner at B Capital Group where she focuses on investments in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, devops, and artificial intelligence and machine learning. She brings over two decades of experience investing and operating in enterprise technologies.
Ms. Gopinath was previously a Managing Director at M12, Microsoft’s venture fund, where she led investments globally in the enterprise space. At M12, Ms. Gopinath sat on several Boards including Synack, Innovaccer, Contrast Security, UnravelData, Incorta, among others..
Prior to M12, Ms. Gopinath was an Investment Director with Intel Capital where she was involved in the firm’s investments in startups including MongoDB, ForeScout, Maginatics, BlueData, among others.
Ms. Gopinath held operating roles at high-growth startups such as BlueData and Couchbase where she led global business development and product marketing roles. She began her career in engineering and product roles at Oracle and GE Healthcare. Ms. Gopinath earned an M.B.A. from Northwestern University, and a B.S. in Engineering from University of Mumbai in India.
Dr. Robert Mittendorff is a General Partner and Head of Healthcare, based in B Capital Group’s San Francisco office.
Robert joins us from Norwest Venture Partners, where he focused on investing capital in venture and growth opportunities in the healthcare sector. He has been involved in investments with public equity value or acquisitions that exceed $10B. He is a board-certified emergency physician and former public company operating executive with experience that spans investing, complex business development transactions, the leadership of clinical advisory boards, product development, clinical trials, and commercial activities.
Robert earned a Harvard M.D., trained at Stanford in Emergency Medicine, and received his M.B.A from Harvard and his B.S. in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins (high honors). He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (FAAEM), a former college soccer player, and a Premier League fan.
Sami Ahmad is a General Partner based in B Capital Group’s New York office.
Sami brings nearly two decades of investment and leadership experience across the alternative asset classes. He was previously Co-Head of Co-Investments within the Alternative Investments & Manager Selection Group at Goldman Sachs and led the group’s growth equity and technology investments. In addition to his experience at Goldman Sachs and its portfolio companies, Sami was a senior member of Viking Global Investors, where he co-led the firm’s private investment effort, and he spent the earlier part of his career at J.P. Morgan and Salomon Smith Barney.
Sami graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA and summa cum laude from Hunter College with a BA in Economics. Outside of work, Sami enjoys spending quality time with his kids and rooting for his home teams.
Ted Hill is the Chief Operating Officer and Partner based in B Capital’s Los Angeles office. Ted’s daily goal is to ensure we have the right team, systems, processes, and structures to back the most transformational entrepreneurs and scale the next generation of groundbreaking technology companies.
Prior to B Capital, he was the Senior Vice President and CFO for Santander Bank’s US Consumer & Business Bank. Previously, Ted held several roles in Digital Strategy, Corporate Development, and Finance for JPMorgan Chase, Nationwide Insurance, and Bain & Company. He began his career as an Investment Banker in NY and London.
Ted graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Economics and Spanish from Bucknell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Ted has lived and worked in Argentina, Spain, and England and in his spare time enjoys trail running.
Virginia Schmitt is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, based in B Capital’s Los Angeles office. As a member of B Capital’s platform team, she is responsible for finance, operations, and building out portfolio company programs.
Prior to joining, Virginia was a Vice President on the investment and operations teams at OpenGate Capital, a global lower-middle market focused private equity firm. Virginia is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), and began her career in the Transaction Advisory Services group at Ernst & Young.
Virginia developed her love of debits and credits during her undergrad years at the University of Southern California (fight on!). She holds a BS in Accounting from the Leventhal School of Accounting and BS in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business. In her free time, Virginia is an avid cookie baker and pilates enthusiast.
Adam Seabrook is a Principal in B Capital’s Los Angeles office, where he on investments in Healthcare and Digital Health. He currently serves as a Board Observer to Evidation Health, SilverCloud Health, and Bright.md. Prior to joining B Capital, Adam worked at Hyde Park Angels, one of the largest angel networks in the US, while pursuing his MBA at the University of Chicago.
Before earning his MBA, Adam was an early employee at Imaging Advantage, a teleradiology startup that was recently acquired by Envision Healthcare. In his role, Adam managed teleradiology implementations at hospitals around the United States, led teleradiology workflow optimization efforts, and helped acquire physician practices as part of a rollup strategy. Adam also co-wrote a proposal to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, from which the company was awarded $6 million to develop a decision support tool for physicians.
Adam earned a BS in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at Cornell University, where he also ran the 400m and 400m hurdles and served as the Co-Captain of the Varsity Track and Field team.
Crissy Costa is a Senior Principal in B Capital’s New York office, where she focuses on the firm’s Enterprise Investment practice.
Previously, Crissy was a Principal at Primary Venture Partners, a seed-stage investment firm in New York, where she was responsible for identifying and evaluating investments in B2B companies across multiple sectors, including Enterprise, SMB, and Healthcare. Prior to Primary, Crissy was the Director of Growth at Ionic, the world’s largest cross-platform mobile development framework, where she led the company’s Enterprise product strategy.
Crissy has an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University. Before receiving her M.B.A., Crissy operated at two San Francisco-based startups, Xamarin (acq. by Microsoft) and Peek, after spending nearly three years as a consultant at Deloitte in New York City.

Previously, Mike was Senior Associate at Velos Partners, a global venture growth firm, where he was responsible for identifying and evaluating investments in companies in the retail innovation, transportation, and financial technology sectors.
He began his career as a management consultant with Bain & Company in Los Angeles and London, where he focused on digital transformation, innovation strategy, and corporate renewal. He also has worked in product management at Wilshire Axon, a digital product agency that was a predecessor to BCG Digital Ventures.

Prior to B Capital, Aakash was a Principal at The Parthenon Group specializing in private equity diligence and strategy projects across emerging markets – leading teams across SE Asia, China and Africa. He also spent time with Actis Private Equity in London/Johannesburg working with their education investments team. Before Parthenon, Aakash was an analyst/product manager at Opera Solutions, a big data solutions provider.

Morgan Polotan is a NYC-based Principal with the B Capital Ascent Fund, where he focuses on seed-series A startups in fintech, digital health, and SaaS.
Prior to B Capital, Morgan was a Principal at Comcast Ventures and Genacast Ventures, where he helped lead investments in Dandelion Energy, Zapata Computing, Neural Magic, goTenna, Blockdaemon, Confetti, and SafeBase. Morgan began his VC career at Bloomberg Beta, where he helped invest in Donut, Stedi, and Campuswire. Morgan began his career as a software engineer at Tapad, a NYC-based adtech company that was acquired by Swedish telco Telenor for $360M.

Priya Banerjee is a Principal in B Capital’s Singapore office, where she focuses on technology investments within Consumer Enablement, Financial Services and Industrials & Transportation verticals.
Prior to B Capital, Priya was an investment professional with Sequoia Capital India. At Sequoia, Priya helped to identify and evaluate multiple high growth start-ups, largely in the consumer and healthcare space. Priya began her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, working on digital transformation and innovation strategies of healthcare and financial services companies. During her MBA at Wharton, Priya was also an Investment Partner at First Round Capital’s Dorm Room Fund, where she and her team invested in 25+ promising companies built by student founders across the US.
Priya received her MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed her undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Robert is a Principal in the New York office where he focuses on investments in the firm’s Consumer Enablement and Financial Services practices.
Prior to joining B Capital, Robert was an early employee at Spring (acq. by ShopRunner), a NYC based e-commerce marketplace, where he ran the growth team, spearheaded international expansion, and helped with fundraising. Before Spring, he worked in business operations at Ampush Media, a bootstrapped ad-tech firm that helped the most innovative mobile focused startups with growth, after spending three years at JPMorgan.
Originally from Greensboro, NC, Robert received an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BBA from the University of Michigan. At the University of Chicago, he was awarded the Hyde Park Angels Venture Capital Award.
Trang is a Principal, based in B Capital Group’s Singapore office.
Trang joined B Capital from Temasek where she was part of the global Transportation & Logistics investment team and covered sub-sectors including SEA ecommerce logistics and North America land transport. Prior to that, she spent 4 years at The Abraaj Group focusing on private equity investments across Southeast Asia and led the origination effort in Vietnam for the firm. Trang started her career doing corporate finance and M&A advisory with PwC in Singapore.
Trang holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from Nanyang Business School in Singapore.
Sarvesh is a Principal in B Capital Group’s Singapore office and focuses on growth investments across South East Asia and India.
Previously, Sarvesh was a part of SoftBank Vision Fund’s investment team focusing on South East Asia. Prior to that, he spent 4 years with Temasek’s TMT team looking at investments across US, SEA and India, and covering sub-sectors including marketplaces, enterprise software as well as digital media. Sarvesh started his career doing investment banking with Credit Suisse.

Anjani is a Senior Associate in B Capital Group’s San Francisco office.
Anjani is wrapping up her MBA at Berkeley Haas, where she founded the Berkeley Female Founders+Funders (BFFF) Community. During her MBA, Anjani worked at Pear VC, Muse Capital, and was the first business hire at Pulley (backed by Stripe and General Catalyst). She is Indian but grew up in Japan and moved to the US to do her undergrad at Wharton.
Brian DeRosa is a New York based Senior Associate at B Capital Group. Prior to joining B Capital, Mr. DeRosa spent 1.5 years as an Investment Banking Analyst with Goldman Sachs in New York City with their Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Group. Mr. DeRosa advised clients on a range of corporate strategy engagements across M&A, debt, and equity.
Mr. DeRosa earned a B.A. in History from the Georgetown University.
Cedric is an Associate on the investing team in B Capital Group’s Beijing office. He joins us from Citi APAC Investment Banking team, where he worked first as an analyst and then as an associate since 2017. At Citi, Cedric focused on equity transactions in the TMT sector, primarily in Greater China.
Cedric holds a Bachelor of Economics degree in Finance from Renmin University of China, and a Master of Finance degree from MIT Sloan School of Management. Cedric is an indie film fanatic, a photography enthusiast and a big fan of tennis.
Dalton is as an Investor in the San Francisco office. He joined B Capital from Evercore, where he was an analyst in the technology group.
Dalton earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. He is an avid podcast listener (Scott Galloway, Guy Raz, Tim Ferriss) and taco truck and CrossFit enthusiast.
Dhruv is an Investor based in B Capital Group’s Singapore office.
Prior to B Capital, Dhruv was part of the investment team for Bertelsmann India Investments (corporate VC arm of one of the world’s largest media conglomerates – Bertelsmann Group) focusing on technology investments in India at the early growth stage. At BII, he was a part of 6 investments across consumer and logistics space among other sectors. Prior to that, he interned with Nomura in their quantitative risk division and was the co-founder of a travel startup in college.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Economics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS, Pilani).
Jacob is a Senior Associate on the investment team in San Francisco.
He was previously a summer associate at the firm in 2019 during his time at Wharton. At Wharton, Jacob served as a managing partner at the MBA Fund, a pre-seed VC investing in top student and alumni startups out of Penn, Harvard, and Stanford. He also spent his time as a Wharton Venture Partner, helping notable venture funds conduct research within industry specific investment theses.
Prior to his MBA, Jacob worked in growth and private equity investing at Lindsay Goldberg and in investment banking at Morgan Stanley. Jacob earned a BSc in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Jayme is an Investor on B Capital’s Singapore investment team, where he works on market screening, deal evaluation and execution, and work with B Capital’s portfolio companies.
Jayme joined B Capital from Credit Suisse, where he as an Analyst in the investment banking division based in Singapore. There, he advised and worked with clients in the Consumer, Retail and Healthcare sectors across Southeast Asia. Prior to Credit Suisse, he served as an Analyst in Deutsche Bank’s investment banking division in Singapore.
Jayme earned a BSc. in Economics and Finance from Singapore Management University.
Kevin Hong is an investor in B Capital’s Singapore office, where he focuses on Industrial & Transportation and Consumer Enablement investments.
Prior to joining B Capital, Kevin advanced strategic initiatives at Optimus Ride, a self-driving car start-up in Boston, to deploy autonomous electric vehicles in private communities. Previously, Kevin joined the founding team at LionTree, a technology and media focused merchant bank, where he supported the launch of its investment arm.
Kevin began his career at UBS as an M&A analyst in New York. Kevin has also spent time in India and Tanzania as a consultant to non-profit organizations focused on agriculture and financial technology.
Kevin received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an M.P.A. from the Harvard Kennedy School and a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Karly is an Investor in the San Francisco office. Previously, she was a Vice President at Stonepeak Partners, a Blackstone spin-out private equity fund which grew from $2bn AUM to $14bn AUM during her tenure, where she primarily focused on energy and infrastructure investments and initiated coverage of the chemicals sector. Prior to Stonepeak, Karly was an investment banker for Morgan Stanley, focusing on M&A and capital raising in the transportation and logistics sectors. She also worked in Business Development & Strategy for Ike Robotics, an AV trucking start-up, designing their Transfer Hub product.
Karly earned a BA in Physics from Middlebury College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. At the GSB, Karly led Stanford’s chapter of The MBA Fund, making 7 seed-stage investments in student-founded start-ups. She was also a Venture Fellow for January Ventures, investing in female-founded start-ups, and launched a women’s investment club for public equity trading. Meghan is an Investor, based in the Los Angeles office. Previously, she served as Chief of Staff for B Capital.
Prior to joining the firm, Meghan worked at J.P. Morgan with their Endowments and Foundations group to deliver institutional investment capabilities to endowments and foundations across the Western and Southern U.S. Meghan started her career as a management consultant working with Walmart and General Mills. Meghan is a Dallas native and graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
In her free time, Meghan enjoys training for her next marathon, learning to surf, and finding the best outdoor dining spots in always 75 and sunny Los Angeles.
Nick is an Investor based in the New York office. Prior to his current role, Nick worked with B Capital’s Platform team focusing on Capital Formation and supporting the portfolio across all aspects of follow-on fundraising.
Prior to joining B Capital, Nick began his career in investment banking with RBS in Hong Kong before joining the Financial Institutions Group at Houlihan Lokey in New York. Following his time in banking, Nick launched a healthcare technology company and eventually founded his own consulting business, assisting early-stage start-ups in a variety of different capacities involving finance, fundraising, and operations.
Originally from the suburbs of Boston, Nick received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Patrick Harmon is a Senior Associate in B Capital’s Los Angeles office, where he focuses on early stage investments. Patrick has five years of global investing experience and two years of strategy consulting experience.
Before joining B Capital, Patrick spent two years working part-time with BMW iVentures and Morpheus Ventures while obtaining his MBA, participating in deals related to frontier tech, enterprise software, and fintech. Prior to business school, Patrick spent 3.5 years at Dalus Capital in Mexico City, where he led investments in regional early stage startups, focused on enterprise software and fintech. Prior to Dalus, he spent two years with Deloitte Consulting.
Patrick earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University. He grew up between Chicago, Mexico City, and Los Angeles and considers all three to be home. Since birth, he has been a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, enjoys reading very nerdy fantasy novels, and tries to explore a new bar or restaurant every couple of weeks (all cataloged in a massive spreadsheet he’s very proud of). He is lucky enough to be married to a trained chef, so Patrick is also a fitness fanatic.
Raj is an Investor in our New York Office.
Raj joined B Capital from Evercore, where he worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory Group with a focus on consumer and retail companies. He started his career at BlackRock, working with large single family offices, endowments, and foundations to help them allocate capital into private market strategies.
Raj earned a B.A. in Economics from New York University. He’s originally from Long Island, NY and enjoys playing tennis and watching cricket in his free time.
Rishabh is an Investor at B Capital Group.
Prior to this, he spent 2 years as a Management consultant with McKinsey & Company in India. He advised and worked with clients in automotive ancillary, infrastructure, financial services and healthcare space on key strategic projects such as sales transformation, CX improvement, digital marketing and branding. He was also a part of private equity due-diligence teams to evaluate targets in Pharmaceutical and Infrastructure industries. Prior to McKinsey, he was an intern at India Quotient, a Mumbai-based early-stage venture capital firm.
Rishabh holds a Chartered Accountancy degree from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Yoseph is an Investor in B Capital Group’s Singapore Office.
Yospeh joined B Capital from Bain & Company, where he spent 3 years in Southeast Asia focusing on performance improvement, commercial due diligence, and strategy across various industries. Prior to Bain, Yoseph started his career at Bukalapak.com, where he worked with the COO on various operations improvement projects.
Yoseph earned a BA in Economics and Sociology from the University of Melbourne.
Aja is the Director of Human Resources based in B Capital’s Los Angeles office, where she helps us scale the organization including our hiring and onboarding process.
Prior to joining B Capital, Aja was the Director of Human Resources for the Bridgewest Group, a global private equity firm where she built and lead the full-cycle HR function from scratch to the group’s peak including over 15 portfolio investments and 1,000 employees.
Aja was raised in Evergreen, Colorado and is a graduate of Hawai’i Pacific University with a BA in International Relations and a minor in Spanish.
Alora is an HR Associate in B Capital’s Los Angeles office. In this role, she supports HR and hiring needs and helps accelerate the success of our internal operations.
Alora has over seven years of HR experience and joined B Capital from Korn Ferry, where she worked with the US population on Health and Wellness, Culture and Diversity and Inclusion. Prior to that, she was a Human Resources Generalist at GQR Global Markets. Alora’s passion is to focus on the “human” aspect of Human Resources. She strives to remove the negative stigma associated with many traditional HR departments, and ensure that everyone she encounters knows that they have a trusted partner in her. Alora earned a BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Alora enjoys spending time with her son, writing and listening to music.
Amy is Vice President of Leadership and Talent in the New York office. Amy’s focus and passion is helping align B Capital’s organizational structure and talent capabilities with our overall business vision.
Amy has a background in Human Capital and strategic HR consulting, with experience driving people and talent initiatives with enterprise and growth-stage companies in the healthcare, financial services and consumer industries.
Angela is a Strategy and Operations Associate in B Capital Group’s New York office.
Angela joins B Capital from Accenture Strategy. In that role, Angela focused on growth strategy and organizational design for consumer goods and pharmaceutical companies.
Angela has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester. In her free time, she enjoys running, cycling, and golf.
Asheley is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she is the office manager, events coordinator, and Executive Assistant to Karen Page.
Asheley spent many years with various organizations in the financial industry such as Northwestern Mutual, MassMutual, and Edward Jones.
Born and bred in Cleveland, OH, Asheley earned her degree in Graphic Design from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Ben is a Finance Manager in B Capital’s Los Angeles office, where he focuses on the finance, operations, accounting, and portfolio company analytics of B Capital Group’s investments.
Prior to joining B Capital, Ben worked as a Fund Accountant at Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. (“LGP”), a private equity firm in Santa Monica, California. Ben began his career as an Experienced Associate in the Financial Services Assurance Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) in Los Angeles, California, and is a Certified Public Accountant (active).
Ben received a Masters of Professional Accountancy from the University of California, Irvine. And a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa. In his free time, Ben enjoys the outdoors and playing ice hockey.
Brianna is a Marketing and Communications Associate based in the San Francisco office.
Brianna joined B Capital Group from Deserve, a fintech startup located in Palo Alto. As the Marketing Manager at Deserve, she focused on brand growth, enhancing brand voice, and strategic partnerships. Before Deserve, Brianna was a part of Denizen, a fintech startup under BBVA. At Denizen, where she focused on email strategy and streamlining the Compliance review process.
Brianna earned her BA in Communication Studies from Humboldt State University and MA in Communication Studies from San Francisco State University.
Christiaan Ballard is a Talent Acquisition Manager at B Capital Group, based in Singapore. She partners with APAC portfolio companies to drive strategic talent initiatives.
Prior to joining B Capital, Christiaan spent 7 years at HubSpot, where she most recently led their APAC recruiting team. During her time there she experienced HubSpot’s growth from early stages through IPO and understands the critical role that talent acquisition plays in the success of a business. Christiaan attended Northeastern University where she received a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration.
Chris is the Investor Relations Associate based in the Singapore office. Prior to joining B Capital, Chris spent nearly two years at Cambridge Associates as an Investment Performance Analyst where he worked on performance measurement and client reporting for multiple clients.
Chris completed his degree in Economics specializing in Financial Economics and Applied & Policy Economics during his four years in National University of Singapore. Born and Bred in Malaysia, Chris is well-versed in English, Mandarin and Malay
Cindy Park serves as Operations Manager, based in B Capital’s Los Angeles office.
With her multi-disciplinary and cross-industry background, her experiences and interests range from retail development to innovative start-ups for social change. Prior to joining B Capital Group, Cindy was Chief of Staff of a branding and consulting start-up based in New York City, predominately working with a network of family offices. As their first employee, she was integral in setting up and streamlining the company’s business infrastructure, as well as, liaising with start-ups and executives in preparation for investor pitch events. Previous to that, she started her career in retail product development with Macy’s Merchandising Group working on development and strategy for its private label brands. Cindy received her B.B.A. in Strategic Design Management from Parsons School of Design, and prior to that, she pursued her B.A. in Journalism and Political Science at Boston University.
As a new L.A. resident, Cindy likes to spend her free time training for the next half marathon along the beach, hiking on its scenic trails, and fueling her inner foodie by indulging in endless L.A. eats.
Courtney is the Investor Relations Analyst based in the Los Angeles office.
Prior to joining B Capital, Courtney interned with BCG Digital Ventures in Los Angeles and FCA Venture Partners, a healthcare venture firm based in Nashville.
Courtney studied Human and Organizational Development, Corporate Strategy, and Financial Economics during her four years at Vanderbilt University. Courtney also played for and was captain of the Vanderbilt Women’s Golf team.
David Ohayon is based in Los Angeles, supporting the global team with IT services and vendor management. Prior to B Capital, David spent four years as IT Administrator at Prodege, a media and internet consumer loyalty company. Prior to moving to the U.S., David lived in France and Israel.
Emily is an Executive Assistant based in B Capital’s San Francisco office. She joined B Capital Group from Jones Lang LaSalle, a commercial real estate services firm where she worked as Project Coordinator on the debt side of Capital Markets.
Emily earned a BS in Sustainable Environmental Design and a BA in Economics as well as a minor in Sociology from the University of California, Davis. After undergrad, Emily spent many months interning at the San Francisco Department of the Environment, focusing her efforts on clean energy.
Erika is a Director of Strategy and Operations, based in B Capital’s New York office.
Erika joined B Capital from Estee Lauder Companies, where she led Strategic Partnerships for the Digital Technology and Innovation Group and launched, managed and scaled their Open Innovation program. She has over ten years of experience working with emerging technology and corporate innovation teams within leading global media and entertainment firms.
Erika earned a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, MA in Urban Planning from Harvard University and an MA in Journalism from New York University. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband Daniel, and their 1.5 year old son. She can usually be found at a jazz concert, film festival or buying more books than she could read.
Eric is a Strategy and Operations Associate in B Capital Group’s New York office.
Eric joins B Capital Group from Deloitte Consulting, where he worked for 2.5 years as a Strategy & Operations Consultant based out of the Los Angeles Office. At Deloitte, Eric primarily worked with technology clients on growth strategy, M&A strategy, and business transformation projects. Prior to joining Deloitte, Eric attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he graduated with a B.A. in Business Economics and minor in Accounting.
Eric spends much of his time outside of work rooting for UCLA athletics, and enjoys watching professional sports (primarily the NBA and NFL).
Hachem is a Director of Strategy & Operations on B Capital’s Platform team. He joined B Capital from Lime, where he served as General Manager for the Northeast US & Australia. As GM, he built a high performing ops team, drove market expansion and increased profitability.
Prior to that, Hachem was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group where he spent 10 years working closely with clients on growth strategies, digital transformations and operational improvements.
Hachem earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from MIT and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Raised in Casablanca (Morocco), he speaks French fluently and enjoys playing tennis, sailing and traveling.
Haley is an Executive Assistant in the LA office. She graduated from the University of Southern California’s Price School of Public Policy with an emphasis in real estate development.
Haley spent the last 4 years living in New York City and worked as an EA for the CEO of Greystone Development. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and attending USC football games.
Jake is an Associate VP, Investor Relations in B Capital Group’s New York Office.
Before joining B Capital, Jake was Vice President at New Mountain Capital, where he focused on institutional fundraising in North America across Private Equity, Private Credit, and Real Estate. He began his career at Freestone Capital Management in Seattle.
Jake received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Virginia.
Jordan is a Strategy and Operations Associate, based in the Los Angeles office.
Jordan joined B Capital from Currency, where she served as Chief of Staff for two years leading strategy, project management, and executive team management. She previously served as Head of Talent at Currency for three years, growing the firm from 20 people to 200 people from 2015-16 and leading people initiatives to support the firm’s high-growth.
Jordan earned a BS in Hospitality Management from Cornell University. She lives in Marina del Rey, CA and enjoys cooking and playing tennis.
Jana Ishak is Executive Assistant to Eduardo and Office Manager of B Capital’s Singapore office.
Jana joined B Capital Group from TPG Capital where she spent nearly 9 years assisting the Deal Team and Ops Partner. Prior to that she was with Kellogg, Brown & Root where she was the Executive Secretary for the Vice President in the Singapore Office.
Karl Noronha is a Director of Strategy and Operations on B Capital Group’s Platform team and is based in the Singapore office.
Karl joins B Capital from Heineken, where he built and ran their APAC digital hub across 23 markets. Previously, he has held leadership roles at Amazon, aCommerce and P&G.
Karl earned a B.A. in Economics and Commerce from the Australian National University and an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He enjoys playing cricket, reading a good autobiography and going to trivia nights.
Mark is B Capital Group’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, based in the firm’s New York City office.
Mark joined B Capital from Falcon Edge, where he was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for the global VC and public equities firm. Prior to Falcon Edge, Mark spent six years working for firms including Debevoise & Plimpton and Kirkland & Ellis, as well as six years as in-house counsel for private/public equity firms. He received a Juris Doctorate from Yale Law School, a Master’s degree from the Department of Government at Harvard University, and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
Menka is B Capital’s Asian Head of Investor Relations.
Menka was most recently Head of Fundraising at Jungle Ventures, an early stage venture firm focused on Southeast Asia. Menka lead and managed the execution of all aspects of fundraising and was also responsible for driving LP co-investments across Jungle’s portfolio companies.
Prior to Jungle Ventures, she was at Google in a business development role focusing on SMEs and startups in Southeast Asia. Before joining Google, she spent 7 years at HQ Capital, a global fund of funds investment manager with US$12 Billion in assets under management. Menka was Senior Vice-President responsible for making commitments in private equity and venture capital funds in Asia. During her tenure with the firm, she made LP commitments to 18 late stage venture, growth and buyout funds in the region.
Meghan is Chief of Staff, based in B Capital Group’s Los Angeles office. Meghan supports our Managing General Partner and the leadership team by partnering with our investment, platform and operations teams to drive projects to completion.
Meghan joins B Capital Group from goop, where she led brand partnership events for the east coast. Prior to her time at goop, Meghan was at Vogue Magazine on the brand marketing and communications team.
Meghan earned a BA in English (with a concentration in Paranoid Fiction) from Cornell University. Meghan loves reading, writing, Pilates, and exploring new cities.
Mike Balestrino is a Senior Manager of Strategy and Operations, based in B Capital Group’s New York office.
Mike joins B Capital from Monitor, Deloitte’s strategy consulting group. In that role, Mike developed growth strategies and managed digital products for hi-tech and retail clients. Mike earned a B.S. from Wake Forest University and an M.B.A. from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
As IT Director for B Capital Group, Nick leads all internal technology solution development. He focuses on identifying and working collaboratively across the firm to execute IT initiatives and projects with an emphasis on investment and platform initiatives.
For the past 10 years, Nick Thompson has held various leadership roles at UCLA enhancing educational technologies for its students and faculty. He managed all facets of UCLA’s Educational Technology initiatives, including the strategy, development, maintenance and procurement of tools and platforms. During his time at UCLA, he was able to transition the university from educational technology being an afterthought to being a leader in the Ed-Tech space. Nick also has a background in software engineering and prior to joining UCLA he worked on popular titles such as World of Warcraft, Toontown, and Pirates of the Caribbean in the computer game.
A California native, Nick grew up in Bellflower and graduated from California State University, Fresno.
Nicole Caravella is an Executive Assistant and Office Manager in B Capital’s New York Office. Nicole has 14 years of Executive Administrative experience, previously in the diverse industries of Commercial & Residential Real Estate, Luxury Fashion, and Technology/Publications. Nicole’s favorite pastime is being an avid concert goer and traveling. Now as devoted wife & mother, she looks forward to all the adventures to come, with her family.
Nikhit is a Business Intelligence Manager at B capital Group.
Nikhit joined B Capital from Larsen & Toubro Infotech(LTI), where he was a part of the AI based product team building BI enterprise solutions for businesses across different verticals. Previously, he worked for Tiger Analytics helping clients develop better insights to the business data thereby expediting the decision-making process.
Nikhit holds an MBA in Business Analytics from Great Lakes Institute of Management, India and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering. He is an avid cricket enthusiast and enjoys watching documentaries on wildlife.
Peter is the Sr. Manager of Strategic Partnerships on B Capital’s Platform Team. Peter focuses on implementing programs that materially impact B Capital’s portfolio by building strategic partnerships and leading strategic initiatives.
Peter has over 10 years of experience building and scaling early and growth stage technology businesses. With a focus in business development, partnerships, and operations, Peter has led new teams, products, and businesses.
Peter received an MBA from NYU Stern with specializations in finance, business analytics, and management.
Ronan Kennedy serves as B Capital Group’s Director of Capital Formation, partnering with portfolio company leadership on their capital needs while helping to develop financial rigor.
Ronan joined B Capital from Microsoft’s venture fund, M12, where he built a team focused on partnering with growth equity and buyout investors. He previously served as a Vice President at Goldman Sachs and as an Associate at JPMorgan Chase. After undergrad, Ronan spent five years in the United states Army, where he led soldiers on the front lines of Iraq.
Ronan earned a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Washington, and an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and enjoys biking and beach runs.
Shanti is a Talent Acquisition Manager in B Capital’s Los Angeles office. In this role, she is responsible for managing and driving the recruitment process for various roles across departments within B Capital.
Shanti earned a BS in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Masters in Human Resources Management from DeVry Keller Graduate School of Management. She enjoys traveling and loves a good, scenic hike.
Shwan is a Director of Strategy & Operations, focused on Healthcare. In this role, he builds scalable programs and processes to accelerate the success of our Healthcare portfolio.
Shwan joins B Capital from Collective Health, where he led Strategy, Business Operations, and Commercial Operations. Prior to that, as a consultant at Bain & Company, Shwan focused on growth strategy, organizational design, and performance improvement within the Healthcare practice. Shwan has also held several technology-focused roles within Johnson & Johnson’s Medical Devices and Consumer Products divisions.
Shwan earned a BS in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Shwan, his wife Dina, and their 1.5 year-old son live in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is an avid 49ers fan, a mountain biker, a photographer, and a skier.
Sue joined B Capital from Fave, a merchant focused start-up where she helped the company grow through M&A and strategic partnerships, and supported the Series B fundraise. Prior to Fave, Sue Fern was an investment banker at CIMB Group in Kuala Lumpur.
Tim is a Business Intelligence Manager, based in Singapore. He believes the key is to translate insights from data into actionable business goals that can make an impact.
Tim joined B Capital from PayPal, where he was part of a global analytics team that enabled sales operations to make data-driven decisions. Prior to that, he led analytics at a large healthcare company in New York, where he established, managed, and expanded their business intelligence capabilities. He also spent time quantitatively assessing the impact of NGO projects in Rwanda and the Philippines.
Tim holds a bachelor’s in Economics from the National University of Singapore and a master’s in International & Development Economics from the University of San Francisco. He spent the last 10 years in San Francisco and New York, and recently moved back to Singapore. On his days off, he enjoys scuba diving, walks with his golden retriever, and single-malt scotch with good friends.
Varun Gupta is a Director of Strategy & Operations.
Varun joined B Capital from Paytm, where he spent 6 years as part of the leadership team, building and scaling Payments and E-Commerce businesses. Previously, he worked with Kearney for 5 years, advising clients on a variety of topics like Growth Strategy, Business Transformation and Organization Design.
Varun holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is an avid cricket enthusiast and enjoys organic farming.
Yang Li is an Executive Assistant and Office Manager in B Capital’s Beijing Office.
She has worked administrative roles throughout her 14 year career. She joined B Capital from Gaocheng Capital. She also has experience working at KPMG as senior partner’s EA over 11 years.
Yuanyuan is a Finance Manager in B Capital Group’s Hong Kong office, where she focuses on developing B Capital Group’s China team and investments.
Yuanyuan has a BA in Financial Accounting from the University of Wales, UK. She has 13-years working experience in accounting field. She joins B Capital from Baidu Ventures, where she led their financial department. Prior to that, she was the Finance Director at Ceyuan Ventures. Initially, she focused on the early stage of investment in mainly TMT, healthcare technology, and AI before shifting focus toward the later stages of investment.
